Prince & NETFLIX

Prima della sua prematura scomparsa, all'inizio di questo disgraziatissimo 2016
il nostro principe stava progettando un reality show per NETFLIX.
La fotografa Maya Washington ha rivelato che era in trattative
per creare lo show nel suo piccolo 'regno' di Paisley Park.

L'aveva contattata chiedendo il suo aiuto dicendo
che avrebbe partecipato solo se fosse stata nel programma.
Parlarono della sua vita privata e del suo lato comico
che la gente non conosceva ma a quanto pare lui aveva in mente tutt'altro:
"Perché non vuoi che vedano il tuo senso dell'umorismo"?
"Maya, non può e non deve essere uno show divertente, devo salvare il mondo."

Netflix ha confermato la potenziale produzione dicendo "Abbiamo avuto diversi
incontri sul progetto ma purtroppo per tutti noi non abbiamo fatto in tempo."
A Paisley Park il reality avrebbe sicuramente avuto successo anche se è difficile
chiedersi come e se Prince avrebbe mai partecipato in prima persona.
Comunque è già previsto un documentario, una biopic che uscirà nel 2017
intitolata "Prince: R U Listening?"

Il filmato racconterà la storia della Purple One
attraverso i suoi compagni di band gli amici e familiari.
Dez Dickerson, primo chitarrista e Andre Cymone amico e bassista ufficiale,
sono compresi nel film, così come Sheila E, Lenny Kravitz, Mick Jagger, Billy Idol e Bono.

"Prince: R U Listening?" sarà guidato dal regista e produttore Michael John Kirk
già premiato con l' Emmy e noto in America per il suo documentario della PBS Frontline.

Intanto nelle scorse settimane una famiglia del Minnesota ha onorato Prince
con un bellissimo spettacolo di luci.
Mike Staudt e la sua famiglia hanno preparato un addobbo natalizio molto speciale
in tema cromatico esclusivamente viola.

"Siamo sempre stati solo appassionati occasionali di Prince
ma la sua scomparsa ci ha veramente colpito" ha detto Staudt.
"Siamo pentiti di non avere mai preso coscienza di avere una stella così iconica
e così vicina a noi e di non aver mai assistito ad un suo concerto o spettacolo qui al Paisley.
La sua scomparsa ha significato così tanto per la nostra comunità
che abbiamo deciso di fare una breve dedica con queste luci di Natale per onorarlo
abbiamo ricevuto molti complimenti per questo e alcune persone hanno anche pianto dalla commozione."

Intitolata "The Lights on Pascolo" la sequenza include circa 10.000 luci
che girano su 8.500 canali controllati da computer ed effetti robotici
sincronizzati con la musica di Natale.
Staudt ha stimato almeno 200 ore di lavoro per realizzare il progetto
tra luci oggetti di scena costruiti  programmazione editing audio impostazioni e verifiche.
Il risultato finale è uno spettacolo lungo 14 minuti
caratterizzato da un intermezzo di "Purple Rain" di circa un minuto e mezzo
con migliaia di luci viola e l'immagine di Prince.
